First Day of Preschool
Mommy and her munchkins
Today, September 8th, is a very exciting day in our household. EJ started preschool today. He was up bright and early and very eager to get started with his day. I was a bit worried about how he would do, but he walked right into his classroom, found his name, sat down and started looking at the book his teacher gave him. Not a single tear! Paco and I gave him a kiss and a hug goodbye and then left him with his class. I think it was much easier on EJ than it was on me! It is unbelievable that my baby boy is old enough for school. I wish I could go back in time to those long days sitting in the NICU and show myself these pictures of a very happy, very healthy little boy starting off on a new adventure. I am getting ready to leave right now to go pick him up and take him to a special lunch--I would bet any amount of money he will pick McDonalds :). I will report in on how the day went!
Edited to note: He had a wonderful day today. No tears at all. He kept going on and on about all the fun things he did and what he is going to do the next day he goes. Sounds promising
Jumping Molly
Weekend in Ohio
This past weekend we went back to Ohio to check on our house, get some more of our stuff, and most importantly see our great friends. On Saturday we went over to the Zollar's house and EJ was able to play with his best buddies Brady and Hannah. Brady recently acquired a fantastic bounce house and the kids had a blast jumping around the whole day. We are so very happy that we were able to see all our great friends and get together one last time. *tears*
Preschool Open House
Last Thursday, Sept. 3, was open house day at Washington Park Preschool. EJ was so excited to go see all the toys, meet his new teachers and see the kids that will be in his class. They did a short meet and greet with the teachers and then it was toy time. Of course, my boy immediately found the train table. He also had a lot of fun playing with the kitchen, trucks, puzzles and farm toys. I think he is going to LOVE preschool.
Helping Grandpa Bernie at the fair
This year Grandpa Bernie got some extra help at Fair time from two adorable little concessionaires. EJ and Molly were out at the fair for a day of fun, but while Dad wasn't too busy we stopped in to say hi and let the kids "help" a bit. EJ really wanted to shake a shake-up, but we decided he wasn't quite ready...maybe next year!
